Time Spiral
Time Spiral was released in October 2006 and contained 301 cards and a 121 reprint set called Timeshifted. The Timeshifted cards were put in the Time Spiral booster packs. With the release of Time Spiral came many different rule changes to the returning mechanics, such as Echo, Flash, Split Second, and Suspend. Notable cards include Academy Ruins, Dread Return, Lotus Bloom, Krosan Grip and Hypergenesis.
Planar Chaos
Planar Chaos was released in February 2007 and is part of the Time Spiral block. This is a 165 card set and includes 45 Timeshifted cards. Because the theme of this deck is the “the present” each of the Timeshifted cards in this set are reprints but in a different color than previously printed or possible a different creature type or land type in its abilities. Mechanics used in this set are Vanishing, Echo, Flanking, Kicker, Madness, and Morph. Notable cards are Aeon Chronicler, Damnation, Detritivore, Extirpate, Urbog, Tomb of Yawgmoth.
Future Sight
The quest to mend Dominaria.s temporal and planar damage continues. A temporal rift connected to an alternate Dominaria has enabled Phyrexian horrors to cross over into the present day.
Future Sight is the third expansion in the Time Spiral block and came out in May 2007. Future Sight contains 180 cards, 81 of them are “futureshifted” cards. Futureshifted cards were considered “pre-prints” because each card may be printed in later sets. Future Sight introduced the follow mechanics: Deathtouch, Lifelink, and Poisonous. Notable cards include Magus of the Moon, Sword of the Meek, Tarmogoyf, and Tombstalker.
